Terms of Use

These terms are between you and Overall (“Overall”, “we”, “us”), which runs overallapp.in and the Overall app. By using this site you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.

Overall is run from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. You can reach us at contact@overall.co.in. A registered office address and a customer-care phone number will appear here before the marketplace takes its first order.

Overall has not launched. Today this site is an announcement, a demo and a waitlist.

• The demo at /shop is a demo. Every shop, price, rating and delivery time in it is invented to show how the app will work. None of those shops exists, nothing in it can be ordered, no payment is taken, and adding to the cart creates no obligation for anybody.
• The waitlist is a way to be told when it opens. Joining it costs nothing, promises you nothing beyond that message, and can be undone by emailing us.

If you leave your mobile number, you agree that we may send you one message when Overall opens in your city, and any message you specifically ask for. We do not send marketing blasts and we do not pass your number to anyone else.

To be taken off the list, email contact@overall.co.in. We delete the record; there is nothing to unsubscribe from afterwards.

You must be 18 or older and able to enter a contract under Indian law. Accounts are for one person; do not share your login or let someone else use it. If you use Overall for a shop or a business, you confirm you are authorised to act for it.

When the marketplace opens, Overall is a marketplace: an intermediary that lists shops near you and carries orders between you and them. We do not own, stock, make or sell the goods.

• The contract of sale is between you and the shop. The shop sets its own prices, decides what it has in stock, and is responsible for the goods it sells, their quality, their legality, any warranty, and the invoice.
• Shops must hold the licences their trade requires — an FSSAI licence to sell food, the licences that medicines and other regulated goods demand, GST registration where it applies — and are responsible for holding them.
• What we are responsible for is the platform: showing the shop’s listing as it gave it to us, passing your order on, handling payment through a licensed gateway, and standing between you and the shop when something goes wrong.

Prices, stock and delivery times come from the shops. We show them as given, and they can change or turn out to be wrong. If a shop cannot fulfil an order you have paid for, you get your money back — see Cancellations & Refunds.

An order is an offer to buy from the shop. It becomes a contract when the shop accepts it. Until then, either side can cancel.

Payments are handled by a licensed payment gateway. Your card details, UPI PIN and bank credentials go to them, never to us, and we never store them. Prices are in Indian Rupees and include GST where the shop charges it. Cancellations, returns and refunds are set out in the Cancellations & Refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.

None of this is in force yet — nothing on this site can be ordered or paid for today.

• place orders you do not intend to accept or pay for, or abuse cancellations and refunds;
• impersonate somebody else, or give a phone number, address or identity that is not yours to give;
• post reviews or content that is false, abusive, obscene, infringes someone’s rights, or is unlawful;
• scrape, copy or republish the site’s content or a shop’s catalogue, or use bots against it;
• probe, overload or interfere with the site, the API, or anyone else’s use of them;
• use Overall to buy or sell anything the law does not allow to be bought or sold this way.

We may suspend or close an account that does these things, and we will say why when we can.

The Overall name, the site’s design, text and code are ours. The illustrations are Microsoft’s Fluent Emoji, used under the MIT licence. Shop names, logos and product photographs belong to the shops.

Anything you post — a review, a photograph, a complaint — stays yours. You give us permission to show it on Overall in connection with the shop or product it is about. Do not post what is not yours to post.

We work to keep Overall accurate and available, but we do not promise the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, that a listing is always correct, or that a shop will behave as it should. The demo in particular is illustrative and nothing in it is an offer.

To the extent Indian law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Where we are liable for something connected to an order, our liability is limited to the value of that order. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for our own fraud, or for death or injury caused by our negligence.

We acknowledge every complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days. If you are not satisfied, the National Consumer Helpline (1915) and the consumer commission with jurisdiction over you are open to you, and nothing in these terms takes away a right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

We may change these terms as Overall changes; the date at the top will say when. If a change matters to you — anything about money, liability or your data — we will tell the people it affects rather than quietly swap the page.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Ahmedabad, Gujarat have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
